Medical Staff
Louisiana Neurologic Consultants clinic is staffed by Dr. Charles E. Kaufman and Catherine “Renee” Ledbetter, R.N.
Dr. Kaufman is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a BS in Microbiology. He then graduated the LSU Medical Center in New Orleans with an M.D. He completed an internship in medicine and neurology residency at Charity Hospital. Dr. Kaufman went on to complete a fellowship in Neurophysiology at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital, Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts and was on the faculty of Brown University. He joined Louisiana Neurologic Consultants in 1992. Dr. Kaufman has board certification in Neurology by the American Academy of Neurology, board certification in Electrodiagnostic Medicine by the American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and has been elected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. He has extensive experience in managing patients with Headache disorder and Multiple Sclerosis.
Catherine “Renee” Ledbetter, R.N., BSN manages the infusion center at Louisiana Neurologic Consultants. Mrs. Ledbetter earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Nursing at Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers.
